Pros and Cons of Using Charcoal BBQ Grills
Pros:
- It reaches high temperatures of up to 375 degrees celsius
- Charcoal grills are less expensive
- Fuel, i.e. charcoal is less expensive and easily available
- It adds an authentic smokey flavor to the food
Cons:
- It is more difficult and takes longer to light or start. Using a chimney starter can make this process easier
- It takes more practice to learn how to control the heat in a charcoal BBQ grill
- It is less safe compared to gas or electric grills, especially with kids and pets. You can have to be careful with inflammable materials around the grill
